Gils Lake
The 50 pegs on this pool vary in width from 11 to 13mtrs.

Depths are universal throughout with 1ft (300mm) down the margins tapering to around 5ft (1.5mtrs) down the middle to about 1ft (300mm) across.

This is a match anglers dream pool as it is absolutely solid with all species of fish (80,000+ over 50 pegs).

Fish vary in size from less than an ounce to about 3lb but average 6oz.

Methods here do vary, most anglers fish Meat/Corn/Worm/Maggot or Caster anywhere from the near side all the way to the far bank reeds.

The match record for Gils stands at 136lb taken in August 2002.

If you want plenty of bites from various species this pool would be hard to beat and the kids love it (young and old).

Trotters Lake
Trotters is the middle Lake and is the most popular of the three Lakes as it suits a variety of methods from pole to running line.

The pool is about 2 acres in size and holds some 40 pegs and virtually all species of fish including the odd low double figure Carp.

It has a central island which is fully reed lined and the larger carp tend to be either tight to the island or in the near side margins.

But don't be put off as the average pleasure nets on this pool could be anything from 50lb to 100lb plus.

The match record for Trotters stands at 164lb taken in August 2002.

Just about every bait or tactic works on Trotters Lake.

Moby Lake
This pool is normaly fished more by specimen anglers as it contains the biggest Carp on the site which came out in early August 2002 at 26lb.

Moby is also filled to the brim with small fish of every species which are totally ignored.

Moby is about 1/2 an acre in size and holds 17 pegs with an island in the center that is fishable from every peg.

This is the only pool that night fishing is allowed but this must be arranged by prior appointment.

Thousands of the small fish in Gils pool actually came from here.
